Fees

What is a fee-based investment advisor?  What are the advantages of using a fee-based investment advisor?

A fee-based investment advisor is compensated by an annual percentage of client assets under management.  Advice from a fee-based advisor is as objective and unbiased as possible because the advisor’s objectives are aligned with the client’s—to grow the assets prudently and to keep expenses at a minimum.  An added benefit to the client is that the fee percentage decreases as the account size increases.

What are the benefits of hiring an investment professional?

A 2008 study by DALBAR showed that, between 1988 and 2008, the S&P 500 delivered an 8.35% average annual compounded return (dividends reinvested) while the average equity investor received a 1.87% return!  This means that average investors significantly underperform a passive stock index.  We believe that the returns you will enjoy from our approach, the money that you will save in avoiding investment mistakes, and the decreased time you spend on your portfolio will greatly exceed the price of our management fee.
